Countertops in Avon.
If you want the look of marble in an Avon kitchen, you can get it from marble itself, from quartzite, from quartz made to look like marble, or from porcelain. All of them are in the racks at 97 Airport Road, about 12 miles from Avon, most of the way on Route 44.
We import the natural stone ourselves, fabricate everything in our own shop, and install it with our own team. Choosing between them comes down to how much care you want to give the surface.
The marble look
Each of these stones gives you a marble look.
They get there differently and need different levels of care.
- Marble
- Marble has veining no engineered stone can copy and a soft, old-world glow. It is softer and more porous, so it etches and develops a patina over time. Honed finishes hide that better than polished.
- Quartzite
- Quartzite is natural stone that often resembles marble, with far more resistance to scratching and etching. It is a strong choice for a busy kitchen.
- Quartz
- Quartz is engineered and non-porous, so it never needs sealing. Marble-look patterns stay consistent from the sample to the installed top. Keep direct high heat off it.
- Porcelain
- Porcelain and sintered stone come in marble looks and in large formats, so an island or a shower wall needs few seams. Both resist heat, scratches, and UV.

Avon questions
Asked and answered.
Do you install countertops in Avon?
Yes. Avon is one of our busiest towns, about 12 miles from our yard in Hartford. Our own team templates, cuts, and installs every job.
Where in the house does marble work best?
It works best on kitchen islands, bathroom vanities, fireplace surrounds, and accent areas where the stone is the focus. For a hard-working kitchen run, think first about how you feel about patina and etching. Marble in a working kitchen →
Do you carry marble-look quartz?
Yes. Quartz comes in a wide range of colors and patterns, including styles that mimic marble. Cambria, Silestone, Caesarstone, MSI, and Vadara are among the brands we carry. See the quartz range →
Do you do bathroom vanities too?
Yes. Vanity tops, shower walls, and tub decks are templated, fabricated, and installed the same way as a kitchen. A smaller job is often where a remnant goes furthest. See vanity work →
