Countertops in Newington.
Quartz, quartzite, and granite are all in the racks at 97 Airport Road, about 5 miles from Newington. Quartz never needs sealing and matches its sample. Quartzite gives you a marble look that stands up to a busy kitchen. Granite handles heat and comes in hundreds of colors.
Whichever you choose, we run the whole job ourselves, from your first walk through the yard to the day the top is set.
Before the template
We template once your kitchen is ready for it.
Templating is the measurement everything gets cut from, so we do it in your kitchen, on the cabinets as built.
- Cabinets set and level
- Countertops are cut to the cabinets that exist, so they need to be installed and shimmed first.
- Sink and cooktop on site
- The sink and cooktop need to be in the house. Cutouts are made to the actual fixtures. Models vary more than spec sheets suggest.
- Decisions made
- Edge profile, overhang, and backsplash height are cut into the stone, so they get settled before we measure.
- Clear access
- Slab pieces are heavy and awkward. A clear path from the driveway to the kitchen makes install day go smoothly.

Newington questions
Asked and answered.
Do you install countertops in Newington?
Yes. Newington is about 5 miles from our shop on Airport Road. We handle the template, the fabrication, and the install ourselves.
When do you template?
Once the base cabinets are installed and level and the sink and cooktop are in the house. We measure on the cabinets themselves and confirm they can carry stone.
What is the difference between quartz and quartzite?
Quartz is engineered from quartz crystals, resins, and pigments, so it is consistent and never needs sealing. Quartzite is a natural stone formed from sandstone under heat and pressure, with a marble look and strong resistance to scratching and etching. Quartz and quartzite in detail →
